As per the Plastic Waste Management rules-2016, All Companies using/manufacturing plastic packaging must get themselves registered from the Pollution Control Board as a Producer / Manufacturer / Brand Owner.
All such data should be submitted to CPCB and maintained for quarterly filings. Companies failing to comply with the EPR guidelines can lose their CTO (Consent to Operate) in their respective regions
Companies should submit a detailed action plan for every state of operation to the Pollution Control Board.
The action plan should describe - the quantities of Plastic Waste Generated, manner of collection & details of the collection agency with all the supporting documents
Companies operating in less than 2 states should register with SPCB (State Pollution Control Board) and those operating in more than 2 should register with CPCB (Central Pollution Control Board)
The collection agency should manage Collection/ Transportation/ Recycling/ disposal of the amount of waste generated in the particular region and the proof of which, with necessary documents, are required to be submitted to the PCB
